Football Classes

In our classes, your child will develop their technical skills, mastering ball control, shooting techniques and basic ball manipulation. Engaging activities and drills led by coaches will teach fundamental abilities such as dribbling, passing and receiving, enhancing their touch and command over the ball. We gradually introduce proper shooting techniques, emphasising precision and power as they learn to strike the ball using different parts of the foot.

Our program emphasises physical well-being, guiding your child toward a healthier lifestyle with visible signs of growth. Sessions kick off with dynamic warm-ups to ready their bodies for activity and conclude with a cool-down to enhance flexibility and alleviate muscle soreness. Fitness exercises are integrated into all classes and are tailored to age, aiming to boost endurance, speed, coordination and agility.

Our classes go beyond improving your child’s physical and technical skills; they also support vital social skills and psychological development. Through team-building exercises, our coaches facilitate improved communication and guide children in setting attainable goals, nurturing a sense of achievement. Encouraging a growth mindset, we view mistakes as opportunities to learn, using positive reinforcement to motivate children. With our structured, age-appropriate and enjoyable classes, we enhance your child’s concentration, learning abilities, listening skills, and decision-making.

Our FA-qualified coaches will teach correct football techniques with ‘FUN through Football’ structured session to build confidence. With opportunities for advanced players to be recommended for academy trials.

FAQs

  • What happens after the course has finished?

Our courses run year-round in most locations. Once you have secured a place, you will have priority to continue onto the next course. We’ll keep you updated as the course progresses about when you need to do this

  • Do sessions run during the holidays?

We will always try to run all of our courses on consecutive weeks. On occasion, due to circumstances out of our control there may be reasons that sessions have to be cancelled or moved onto an alternative playing surface. If a class is cancelled, it will be added onto the end of the course. All changes will be sent via text message.

  • What is ‘Tournament Week’ and how does it work?

Every 4 weeks, we run a tournament night, giving everyone the chance to put their training into practice.

Coaches will split teams as evenly as possible and they will compete in matches for the evening. We want to encourage children to develop a desire to win, whilst avoiding a win at all cost mentality. Points are awarded during the tournament, for not only winning games but also for things like: Teamwork, communication, encouraging each other, using new skills, finding space etc.

  • Will there be scouts watching the sessions?

Our coaches are aware of the standard players need to be at, to be considered for a trial at a professional club. Scouts prefer to watch children play without pressure and see how they usually perform, so if you do see a scout watching a session, please don’t notify your children.
