- Scope
This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, contractors, parents, carers, visitors, and anyone using First Kick Football premises, services, or online platforms.
- Principles
We are committed to promoting equality, inclusion, and respect for all.
We will not allow our services, facilities, or platforms to be used for the promotion of extremist views, radicalisation, or discriminatory behaviour.
We will actively challenge any views or behaviours that go against British Values (democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs).
- Prohibited Activities
Use of First Kick Football sessions, venues, or platforms to promote extremist, radical, or discriminatory views.
Dissemination of materials (print, digital, or verbal) that encourage hate, violence, or prejudice.
Behaviour that undermines safeguarding, equality, or community cohesion.
- Roles & Responsibilities
Operations Director – oversee implementation of this policy and ensure compliance with statutory duties.
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) – monitor risks and respond to concerns.
Holiday Club Managers – ensure staff, parents, and visitors understand and comply with this policy.
All Staff – uphold this policy and report any concerns immediately.
- Reporting & Action
Any concerns relating to extremist or discriminatory views must be reported immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Operations Director. Where necessary, referrals will be made to the Local Authority Prevent team, police, or other safeguarding agencies.
- Review
This policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if required by legislation, guidance, or organisational changes.
