Transport Statement Policy

Purpose 

First Kick CIC does not provide or arrange transport for children attending football sessions, after-school clubs, or holiday clubs. This policy ensures clarity for parents, carers, and staff regarding transport responsibilities. 

Principles 

– Parents and carers are responsible for arranging safe travel to and from sessions.
– Staff and volunteers must not transport children in their own vehicles under any circumstances.
– The organisation does not use minibuses, coaches, or taxis to transport children. 

Exceptions 

– In the event of a medical emergency, staff may accompany a child in an ambulance or emergency vehicle only.
– Any exceptional situation must be reported immediately to the Operations Director and recorded in line with safeguarding procedures. 

Responsibilities 

– Operations Director (Suleman Desai): ensures this policy is communicated to staff and parents.
– HR & Coaching Performance Manager / Welfare Officer (Danny Nolan): ensures safeguarding compliance.
– Holiday Club Manager (Lee Galloway): reminds staff and parents of the transport arrangements for holiday clubs.
– Head of Mini Kickers (Chris Ganner): ensures Mini Kickers sessions follow this policy. 

Review 

This policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if organisational needs or safeguarding requirements change.
